Our Approach
At Windhorse Farm, we believe great food begins with great care. Our livestock are raised using a slow-growth, mindful husbandry approach that prioritizes animal welfare, natural behaviors, and regenerative farming practices. Animals spend their days in the sunshine on pasture, rooting, scratching, grazing, and exploring as nature intended, with access to deep bedding, clean shelter, and low-stress handling. By focusing on healthy soils, rotational grazing, and respectful stewardship, we work to regenerate the land while producing nutritious food and preserving heritage breeds. Our goal is simple: healthy animals, healthy ecosystems, and a farming practice rooted in compassion, sustainability, and care.
